Fortitude
Whether relying upon your stamina, resilience or willpower, you cannot be stopped so easily. By calling upon an inner reserve of power those with fortitude can heal or toughen themselves.
For every experience point a character puts into Fortitude that character gains an extra Hit Point.
For each experience point in Fortitude, a Character can make a Fortitude call per day.
The character must use a loud vocal call ending in ‘Fortitude!’ that is loud enough that people nearby have an idea of what is happening.
Eg. “Stupid arm! You’re broken when I say you are broken! Fortitude!”
“I’ve suffered far worse! Your attack can’t harm me! Fortitude!”
“I'm dying? I can’t die! I won’t die! I’m. not. Dying! Fortitude!”
Fortitude Calls can heal a character up to 3 hit points per call, even when they are on their death count.
Fortitude Calls can be used to resist a single hostile effect, such as a spell call, a might call, a strike from an arrow or an instance of damage, per use of Fortitude.
Fortitude Calls can be used to fix a single broken limb per call, such as those struck by arrows.
Ignore Fortitude
Some exceedingly rare but exceptionally powerful attacks, physical, magical or spiritual can penetrate any defences. These add the call of IGNORE FORTITUDE to a might call, magic call or similar.
Characters cannot use fortitude to resist attacks or spells with the IGNORE FORTITUDE call.
Player characters are not able to use the IGNORE FORTITUDE call at character creation.
